Application
Previous Previous Previous Next Next Next

How long does it take for hair extensions to be applied? This depends on how many extensions you are having, and the application system being used. For example, with either the Classic or Ultrasonic system you can have half a head of extension, to a full head applied in approximately 2.5 hours. Your stylist will be able to discuss this with you further at your consultation. This make over was with just 100 strands of colour 24 with a 40cm length

Verified technicians matter! When considering hair extensions it’s important to not only understand the product, but to also be familiar with the stylist who will be performing this service and his or her qualifications. Great Lengths is a selective salon distribution company, meaning that salons and stylists have to meet our strict standards to be eligible to attend the 2-day Certification Training. This is the most intensive and effective training for hair extension application available, which has been recognized as the industry’s best in category. No other company requires or offers the in-depth education that Great Lengths does. Rest assured, your hair is in good hands

Caring for your Great Lengths: Some extension loss is normal throughout the life of your Great Lengths application. The average person experiences natural hair loss of 100 to 150 hairs a day. A full-head Great Lengths application covers approximately one-third of the head. After some time, you can expect to see a small quantity of your hair that has shed naturally yet is still attached to the bond. This is normal and should not be interpreted as hair that has been pulled out of the scalp by the extensions.

Here’s a fab example of a Great Lengths application underway. In under a minute, a small section of the client’s hair is wrapped with the non-damaging Great Lengths bond and secured in place. The temperature of the tongs used is the same as the lowest setting on your styling tools, so warm, but not hot. The bond softens and is gently worked into the small section of hair.

What to expect with your Great Lengths- Great Lengths applications are custom to each client. A consultation is essential in order to give you accurate pricing information. It’s during the consultation you and the stylist will agree upon the desired result. This time together also allows the stylist to determine what lengths and colours are needed to achieve the result so that they have the correct lengths and colours ready for you on your application day. What makes Great Lengths keratin bond application so different to any other on the market? The Great Lengths concept originates from the textile industry taking inspiration from the heat transfer system which bonded fabric to fabric on a molecular level; this was an attractive idea for Great Lengths who then started testing, and later adapting it to hair extensions, creating and patenting a method that molecularly bonded extensions to natural hair aiming to an extremely resistant but gentle attachment. This technology is what has created the gentlest hair extensions in the world.

@viramstyling

“Just like butter”. Removal of our hair extensions is simple! Step one: the bond is drenched in removal fluid. Step two: the bond is pinched to allow it to break down. Step 3: The distintigrated bond slides out of the hair and hey presto, all done!

How do you remove extensions? Very simply by putting a solution on them to break up the bonds. The hair then slides out of your own and you’re ready for a new set! No breakage, no worries!
